Amazon announced the launch of Australia marketplace in early 2017 and officially came online in December 2017. Australian online store's launch was its biggest ever international opening with tens of thousands of shoppers visiting the site in one day. Amazon.com.au were higher than for any other launch day in the company's history. Amazon.com.au has the most comprehensive selection of all retailers in Australia. Customers can shop for over 17MM items – ranging from the most popular items from the world's leading brands to unique products that customers can’t find anywhere else – offered at low prices and backed by Amazon’s award-winning customer service. In addition to locally shipped products, Australian customers will also be able to discover and purchase items sold and shipped from Amazon US via the Global Store program.

Shop Anywhere, Anytime

Australian customers can now conveniently shop anywhere, anytime through the Amazon Shopping app, and desktop and mobile browsers. Customers can also track orders, contact customer service, read product reviews, or simply browse Australia’s largest – and growing selection anywhere, anytime.

Launch

Amazon india design and country launch team has steered the launch from the starting and took over the entire design phase for Australia launch. We've defined styleguide for every categories and worked with global production teams to coordiate and delivered the assets. During the launch week there were two teams were on stand by to support additional design requests from Au market place.  India design team definied the new styleguide elements for boxing day since the global styleguide was not in 

providing the best experience. We've rolledout and delivered the new boxing day styleguide only for AU market.
